From the shop: on a clutch job, inspect the flywheel and resurface or replace it as needed, replace the pilot bearing and check the hydraulic system for leaks. Use an alignment tool, torque the pressure plate bolts in a star pattern and follow the break-in instructions. Before you replace an alternator or starter, test the battery and check the cables and grounds; a weak battery or a bad ground can look like a failed part. On a compressor, flush the system and replace the drier and expansion device when the manufacturer calls for it. Before you replace a MAF sensor, check the air filter and look for intake leaks.
