From the shop: when you replace an injector, replace its seals and O-rings every time and lubricate them with clean engine oil, never with anything that can damage the rubber. On GDI and diesel injectors, follow the torque specs and any special procedure, and use new hold-down hardware where the manufacturer requires it. A bad injector is often a symptom: check fuel quality, fuel pressure and the filter before you condemn it. On diesel pumps, find out why the old pump failed. Contaminated fuel or water can destroy a new pump, so clean the tank and lines when needed.
