UAC A/C Thermostat Thermostatic Switch SW 6494C - UAC (SW 6494C)
UAC part # SW 6494C
The UAC SW 6494C is an A/C thermostatic switch, the capillary-tube thermostat that reads evaporator temperature and cycles the compressor clutch so the evaporator core does not ice over. A failed switch either keeps the compressor off, so the A/C blows warm, or never cuts out, so the evaporator freezes and airflow drops to nothing after a few minutes. Route the capillary tube into the evaporator fins exactly as the original. Confirm the application in the fitment table or with your VIN before ordering.
